After completing an honours degree in Archaeology and Prehistory at Sheffield University Lizzie Kershaw joined IPC, then worked on Punch at United Newspapers.
Lizzie began her career at The National Magazine Company in 1982 at Good Housekeeping magazine. Three years later she joined Harper's and Queen rising from Advertising Director to Publisher. Since then Lizzie has been Publishing Director of Good Housekeeping and Cosmopolitan Groups, and Executive Group Publishing Director, Affluent Group.
In 1993 Lizzie was appointed to the Board of NatMag and was awarded PPA Publisher of the Year in 1995 and Media Week's Publisher's Publisher in 1997. In 2002 Lizzie was appointed Executive Group Publishing Director, Good Housekeeping and Country Living Group.
Lizzie is a Board Member of Cosmetic Executive Women UK, Fragrance Foundation and Canine Partners. She is also a Freeman of the City of London and only the second lady to be asked to join the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers since 1637.
