  • Editorial Director, The National Magazine Company

After studying astrophysics at university, Lindsay turned down the opportunity to work as a rocket scientist and instead began her career in magazines working on Here's Health, Woman's Own, Honey, Living and Ms London. She then went on to be part of the launch team on Best, and quickly rose to Assistant Editor of Woman and then Editor of Prima magazine. During the four years Lindsay edited Prima, she persuaded Cherie Blair to guest-edit the magazine, launched Prima Baby and Your Home, and was named PPA Editor of the Year in 1999.

Lindsay joined the National Magazine Company in 1999 as Editor-in-Chief of Good Housekeeping magazine. Over the next seven years Lindsay won numerous awards including PPA Magazine of the Year 2006 and famously brought the magazine into the 21st century with the Good Housekeeping Tried and Tested article on sex toys. In 2006 Lindsay was appointed the first ever Editorial Director of the National Magazine Company.

Lindsay is an Honorary Visiting Professor, City University, Patron of the Widowed and Young Foundation, Trustee of Home-Start-UK, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Member of the Code Committee of the Press Complaints Commission.

Lindsay is also the author of Living on the Seabed.
