Thursday, 18 October 2007. NatMag eNgage has won a competitive pitch to design and produce innovative print advertisements for two international brands in the UK.
eNgage, which was only launched by the National Magazine Company at the beginning of this year, beat other publishers to win the creative deal for Russian Standard vodka and cosmetic brand Revlon. eNgage has been working in creative partnership with Revlon since April, however this is its first major design work.
Russian Standard, led by Strategy Director Leah Annett, will run across two NatMag titles, Company and Esquire, as well as magazines owned by rival publishers, Conde Naste and Hachette Filipacchi in November.
Using unique paper technology, eNgage created both the display and insert campaign for Russian Standard for the UK launch. The creative features a thick matt black ‘reveal' insert with a silver, gold and white ink embossed label and logo.
Revlon's campaign, led by Strategy Director Sinem Hussein, will run across Cosmopolitan and magazines owned by IPC and Hachette Filipacchi in December.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness and promote the launch of Revlon's new 3D Extreme mascara. For the campaign, eNgage produced an eight page bound-in poster using the same creative from the display ad featuring actress Jessica Alba.
eNgage's Strategic Sales Director, James Hayr, says, "eNgage is delighted to have been the only UK publisher to win the pitch to design and promote Russian Standard and Revlon. The two deals are testament to the fact that eNgage is recognised, ahead of other publishers, for its ability to deliver cut through and stand out advertising messages in innovative and varied ways."
Richard Cox of John Alying and Associates, the planning and buying agency for Russian Standard says, "We thoroughly enjoyed working with eNgage to develop the launch platform for Russian Standard in to the UK magazine market. eNgage worked in collaboration with us on both the idea and the execution and delivered exactly what we wanted, adding stature and stand out to the display creative in an innovative and unusual way. It looks great."
Revlon Marketing Manager Graeme Bralsford, says, "We were delighted with the creative produced by eNgage. It fitted perfectly with our brand and delivered an innovative creative for Revlon's 3D Extreme mascara. We are confident that the collaboration with eNgage will be a success and enable Revlon to create a stand out campaign, drive consumption and help towards delivering our long term growth plans."
