November 16 2007. The National Magazine Company, Hearst Corporation's principal business in the UK, celebrated another successful year on Wednesday night when editor Lucy Yeomans and editorial director Lindsay Nicholson picked up the top two prizes at the annual British Society of Magazine Editors Awards, hosted at the London Hilton. Lucy Yeomans was named Editor's Editor of the Year for recently relaunched Harper's Bazaar and NatMag editorial director Lindsay Nicholson was awarded the prestigious Mark Boxer Award. The Mark Boxer Award is an award presented to an individual who, in the opinion of the BSME Committee, has made an outstanding editorial contribution to magazines in this country. Lindsay received the award from former director of Communications and Strategy to the Labour Party, Alastair Campbell.
NatMag also had a further eleven nominations for Louise Court, (nominated for Editor's Editor of the Year for Cosmopolitan), Morgan Rees (nominated for Men's Magazine Editor of the Year and Best Brand Building Initiative of the Year for Men's Health), Louise Chunn (nominated for Non-Weekly Women's Magazine Editor of the Year for Good Housekeeping), Lucy Yeomans (nominated for Non-Weekly Women's Magazine Editor of the Year for Harper's Bazaar), Michael Butcher (nominated for Weekly Women's Magazine Editor of the Year for Reveal), Michelle Hather (nominated for Weekly Women's Magazine Editor of the Year for Best), Natasha Aitken (nominated for Website Editor of the Year for Handbag.com), Elaine Griffiths (nominated for Innovation of the Year for Prima Baby), and Susy Smith (nominated for Best Brand Building Initiative of the Year for Country Living). Jeremy Langmead, now Editor of Esquire, also received a nomination for Editor's Editor.
